Cheney Public Relations & Marketing
Recent Client Work
With our broad spectrum of skills, your marketing ideas can be realized in many forms. Product placement, feature articles, news coverage, website design and content, social media and print collateral have been created by Cheney PR&M to inform, excite and educate. Here are some examples of client work:
Product Launch:
Arbowall Solid Cedar Homes
As a new concept for log constructed homes, Arborwall was developed by parent Katahdin Cedar Log Homes to expand consumer appeal. Arborwall's highly insulated, energy-efficient cedar log home is designed to have a traditional clapboard face and craftsman-style design to maximize the architectural opportunities.
Introduction rolled out in January 2014 to local and regional news media, consumer magazines and ultimately broadcast media. Though limited by the existence of a single constructed product example, that Arborwall home in Maine proved to be highly appealing, resulting in feature coverage in Maine Home + Design, Down East Magazine, and Green Builder.
Monthly e-Newsletter:
Katahdin Cedar Log Homes
Started in 2006, The View From Up North has developed into a highly effective means of maintaining a dialogue with log home enthusiasts—who take an average of 2-3 years to select a log home company to build. The newsletter features 4-5 articles each month ranging from design, appliances, decorating, landscaping, to specific challenges faced by building a new log home. A monthly feature, Green Tip, keeps Katahdin's environmental practices in the readers' view. Each article is linked to a landing page resident on the company website, and responses are tracked for each issue and article. Subscribers average about 10,500 and open rates range from 24-26%.
Website Content: KatahdinCedarLogHomes.com
When Katahdin needed to upgrade its website, new content needed to be developed to convey information about the company, its log home products, and the benefits of Northern White Cedar. Katahdin also needed to educate site visitors about environmental practces, as well as populate the site with relevant content to optimize Search Engine Optimization (SEO).
The site has evolved through the years, with one major redesign and monthly newsletter content added to landing pages, boosting web searchability.
